Anti-woke thinking: its bad effects and how to stop it?

 Times are changing. And so is the way that people think. The social liberalism that characterized the pre-millennium era in the 1980s and 1990s is getting replaced. Those people who were not in favor of it are increasingly becoming vocal. These anti-woke talks do not herald a good beginning and may actually harm humanity more than benefit society in any way. 

The rise of anti-woke group

Not all people like social liberalism and are in fact tired of it. They do not want the things that are for it. Increasingly politicians and media personnel have got polarized and more and more anti-woke celebrities are finding a voice. This is seen on mass media, Internet, and social media. These people are no more shy of expressing their thoughts against social liberty and equality and social justice. Laurence Fox in the beginning of 2020 had created a furore when on BBC in a show an audience member called him a white privileged male. Piers Morgan, Geoff Norcott, Andrew Doyle, and many other world politicians and media people as well as elite groups are forming a strong anti-woke voice. Andrew Doyle feels that such woke bullies must be given tough resistance!!! 

But these kind of voices are threatening to becoming mainstream. 

Ill - effects of such anti-woke backlash

The 1990s saw people welcoming with open arms and embracing social liberty. Racism was condemned and women, minorities, and LGBT groups were provided respect and equality. Attempts were made by society, government, and law to ensure such equality and justice. But into the second decade of the Millennium, and we find that all these woke thinking is crumbling. The modernizing effect of social liberalism is regressing and more and more people are disliking it and also expressing it aloud. This is not a good sign and might imply death of good thinking. 

What is waterless technology? 

People who did not like social liberalism are getting increasingly hostile. They were unhappy with equality but are now started openly complaining about it. It has entered into politics as well and hence non-worthy politicians such as Donald Trump and Modi managed to get people's support to become leaders. But their rule has been a mess. Besides, the woke activists have also lessened their voices and this gave an opportunity to the anti-woke people to come forward and start airing their dissent. These might lead to a backward movement and oppression of the underprivileged group of people. Hate and sufferings might surmount and the result might be unhappiness and inhumanity. Social media has added to the spread of these anti-woke movements. 

What can be done to stop this anti-woke movements? 

It is very vital that the progressives should unite and start making attempts to stop this anti-woke movement that might soon engulf society. The social liberalism should not collapse and equality and justice should prevail. The progressive thinkers should enlist all the advantages of a socially liberal society and also highlight the wrongs of the anti-woke people. For every anti-woke voice, an equal and opposite response should come to counteract the negative impact of the former voice. The progressive thinkers cannot lie back and wait to see a world getting build without them. They must have a say in it and prevent the noble and great thinking from falling apart!
