The world has witnessed public uprisings. These were mainly spearheaded by the youth of that country, the gen z. The intentions are good but the method has been wrong. One should not resort to killings and property damages to demand something good. It can happen in a constitutional way. The reasons for the way things are going are multiple. There are several factors contributing to this damaging actions of the young generation.
1. Incomplete knowledge
The young generation has incomplete and improper knowledge about things. This has worsened since the change of syllabus in countries such as India. History is being twisted and moulded to soothe the egos of those in power. These people in power want to glorify their own land or people even though they were not apt enough to get that credit.
Young are not aware of how countries work and they are unaware of the psyche of the people in power. They are not aware that corruption may occur in a deceptive way too. The people they think are not corrupt may actually be the most corrupt. They believe some people due to peer pressure and common race or religion. They are not open to the fact that corruption in people in power is a dynamic process. Those who appear today to be not corrupt may tommorow be even worse corrupters than whom they are thinking as corrupt.
2. Brainwashing by politicians
Besides, changing syllabus and eliminating important subjects such as moral science, politicians keep bombarding the naive minds with news and acts that are not inclusive. They use religion as a way to divide and rule. They also use mass media to propagate their wrong agenda. Doing so, they brainwash the gullible and weak minded people especially the youth.

3. Inexperienced lot
Youth do not have much experience of life. And the gen z are hooked to the virtual world. That has taken them far away from reality. They do not see and learn things from their surroundings but they learn it from the internet. Critical thinking is lost and replaced by herd following. They think that protests can help.
They have no experience of handling countries, the pros and the cons of administration etc. All this adds to the problem. They know to complain but they do not know how to manage things if they were in that post. Power corrupts almost every human being. Even if a person on a post is not corrupt, he will not talk or stop another person from doing corruption because that person happens to be his friend or relative or an associate. There is also the fear element that prevents the person to complain. This is equivalent to supporting corruption and being part of it.
Experience is not something that one can buy from the market. It has to be gained in life and this takes time. They need to be patient for that experience to come in life and make them mature.

4. Overuse and misuse of social media
Social media is a nuisance for the world. After the industrial revolution, this is the second worst thing that could have happened to the world. Industrial revolution polluted the environment and social media pollutes human minds. People like and follow and share news without thinking much on it. This has increased hate and violence in the world. People are getting biased and exclusive and this is not good for the world. It is a one world and we all need to live peacefully in it.
What should Youth of today do?
Youth of today should refrain from overuse of social media. They should be aware that many things on facebook, instagram, YouTube are fake. Do not believe everything on social media. Have critical thinking. Best is to minimise or stop using social media.
Read good books and try to learn more from out of syllabus books. Talk to people and take advice of seniors who are experienced. Travel helps in expanding your outlook of life and thinking.
Learn the trade before jumping into it. Easy money on social media is short lived and will not fetch money for a lifetime. Avoid being carried away by sugary talks of politicians. If a politician is spreading hate against someone, avoid believing such politicians. They are not good examples to follow.
Have your head above your shoulders always and be humble and non-destructive. Stand for elections and win it constitutionally and honestly. Do not put full faith on anyone in power. It never pays and will only lead to 'heartbreak' sooner or later.
