Who is Sam Cooper, the ex-husband of English singer, Lilly Allen?

English singer and actress, Lilly Allen has been married thrice. Her second husband was Sam Cooper. Who was he? Read on to know about him. 

Lilly Allen and David Harbour 

They say marriages are made in heaven. But this is not true. English singer and actress, Lilly Allen, 39 had three marriages and two divorces. Her third marriage to David Harbour has also reached its fag end. The had a relationship from 2019. Their wedding was in Las Vegas on 7th September 2020 in the midst of COVID pandemic and lockdown. The knowledge of their separation came to limelight in December 2024. 

Though they are separated, no official divorce has been filed in court until now. But David Harbour has already moved on. He has been photographed on multiple occasions in the company of a young model, Ellie Fallon, 27. David's age is 49 and hence this model is almost half his age. 

But this age gap does not bother him or his new girlfriend. However, an insider revealed that Lilly is extremely upset about David's moving on so fast when they are legally still married. There is also a doubt that David started the affair even before the couple's separation. 

Lilly Allen and her relationships 

The British singer was in a relationship with musician Ed Simons in September 2007. Ed is from the electronic band of the UK, Chemical Brothers. In December the same year, Lilly revealed that she was pregnant with their first child together. But she later stated that she has miscarried the fetus in January 2008. However, later in her memoir, she confessed that she had faked the miscarriage. Ed and Lilly separated in five months time. 

Lilly suffered from depression and received three weeks of treatment under a psychiatrist.

From July 2008, Lilly started a relationship with Sam Cooper. On 5th August 2010 came the announcement about her pregnancy. Gender reveal stated that it was a boy. But it ended in a stillbirth in November 2010 at six months of gestation. She had post traumatic stress disorder following the stillbirth. 

Subsequently, in December 2010, Sam proposed to Lilly and she said yes. This was during their trip to Bali. On 11th June 2011, they exchanged wedding vows at the St. James Church situated in Cranham, Gloucestershire, England, the UK. 

Lilly was pregnant during her wedding and her daughter, Ethel Mary was born in 2011. And her second daughter, Marnie Rose arrived in 2013. 

In mid-2015, Sam and Lilly split. In July 2018, they had an amicable divorce settlement.

Who is Sam Cooper, the second ex-husband of Lilly Allen?

Sam Cooper is a builder and a decorator. They started dating in the July of 2008. And their separation came in 2015. The reason for the split was Lily's infidelity. 

Lilly had posted on her Instagram on 2nd September 2018 and also mentioned in her 2018 memoir about how she cheated on her husband, Sam in 2014. 

She revealed that she had sexual contact with female escorts when she was on the promotion tour for Sheezus. She added that Daily Mail UK had come to know about it and were going to publish it. Hence, she decided to inform her fans on if before that. She said:

"I'm not proud, but I'm not ashamed", 

When celebrating her third wedding anniversary to David, Lilly had posted their wedding photo and put the caption:

"3 years with this guy, 2nd best decision I ever made. 1st was that dress,"

She also stated that Sam had money. This statement she made in response to a fan's query whether she would marry a person who is a pauper. Her exact answer was:

"Sure. I did in 2011, sadly it didn’t work out though."

However, Sam had remarried. Hix new wife is aristocratic designer, India Windsor-Clive. The marriage was in 2021 preceded by an engagement in January the same year. 

India is the daughter of the Earl of Plymouth. Her ancestors are the 18th century's Clive of India. He worked for the East India company and was a controversial figure in the military. 

Lilly and Sam are now in friendly terms as they co-parent their daughters. Their schedule of custody is unconventional and flexible. She said:

"Me and my ex-husband share custody, a week on and a week off, which is useful for my work, when he's got them, I can do that."
