Men and also women like to wear long-sleeved shirts. But then, sometimes due to weather or for work reasons, you need to roll up your sleeves! It may also be for personal reasons or a personal choice or a personal style. So how to do it?
It is simple to roll up your sleeve but there are different types of roll-ups of shirt sleeves and all have different names. So let us start!
There are 5 types of rolled-up sleeves!
1. AIFA roll-In this the sleeve is rolled up two times and the amount rolled up each time is the width of the cuff. By doing this, the sleeve now rests below the elbow over the forearm region. This is therefore also called a forearm roll.

2. Basic sleeve roll-In this, the sleeve is rolled for a total of three times. And doing so makes the sleeve now rest just below or maybe just above the elbow. This is a basic roll.
3. High Roller-In this, a roll-up is done four times and the sleeve is above the elbow fold. This is good if one has to display tattoos.

4. Master Sleeve roll-In this, the sleeve is first folded up so that the cuff reaches near the elbow region. Then, the part below is again folded on itself to give master sleeve roll [see figure above]. It looks cleaner and also if the shirt has a cuff that is contrasting, that contrast bit can be seen in the rolled-up sleeve as well.
5. Band or Garter roll-In this a band [shirt garter] is used over the forearm region to push up the sleeve and hold it there. The sleeve part over the garter falls over it and covers it. It is used by musicians. Do not use rubber bands here and the shirt garter should not be too tight. Also, people with white-collar jobs use it because they just want the cuff out of the area of their work.
