Joe Biden chooses a diverse team for his White House team; 61% are women and 54% are people of color!

 Joe Biden is the newly-elected President of the USA. He is choosing his White House team and his team is going to be as diverse as America. He and his deputy Kamala Harris had promised the Americans a diverse administration and they have kept their promise. The first 100 members chosen are diverse as regards their race, gender, skin color, and ideology. They have to make their team before this year-end.

The new USA President Joe Biden has named the first 100 members of his White House team. It is a diverse group that itself speaks how Joe's administration would go. His team has currently 61% of females. And 54% are people of color. On his team representatives of the Asian-American and Pacific Islanders are more than double the ratio in the general population of the USA. 20% on the team are first-generation Americans. And a good 11% of people on the new staff are members of the LGBTQ+ community. And almost 40% of staff on the team have children at home. All underprivileged groups seem to be well-represented on his White House team.

Joe has always made it clear that he seeks to have diversity in his staff. He released a statement that read: 

"From the beginning, Vice President-elect Harris and I have sought to build an administration that looks like America. Building a diverse team will lead to better outcomes and more effective solutions to address the urgent crises facing our nation. The appointees named today will draw from their expertise and life experiences to help us build the country back better. Moving forward together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish,"

Joe continues to appoint new talented people on his team. His deputy Kamala Harris is the first woman to be appointed on that post. He has several Asian-Americans on his team and wants to move ahead together with the progress and good of America in his heart and mind.
