When I look around, I am surprised at the monotonous lives that most people in the world and especially in India live. I can sum up their lives in five words: Sex, reproduction, dynasty, livelihood, and crimes.
Sex: Yes, this is a very important aspect in the lives of most people. They marry for that. It is the boys and men who seek this mostly. Many go to great extent to get it. They even commit crimes for it. The love stories in folklore and movies and mass media increases this. But one must not forget that these are primitive instincts that exist even in lower animals such as dogs, cats, and cows. Control of this drive is the strength of only few people in the world. And those people that lack it are in phase 3 of human maturity. They lead a robotic life without asking any questions or challenging the wrongs of society.
Reproduction: This is another word in the lives of people. And by social rules, one has to marry for it. But nowadays, technology has come to the rescue and the elite few are able to bear children without marriage or even a relationship. This they do by surrogacy or sperm and egg donations.
Reproduction is also a feature of lower animals and one of the basic instincts that is present at the hippocampal area of the brain. This is the oldest part of the brain that exists also in animals.

Dynasty: This is another craze for which people marry or are forced into it by society. But while this might help men and their families, it is a loss for women who marry. Because they lose their surnames and help another family to run their dynasty. They destroy their identity to raise children who will bear the surname of another family. Shameful, blatant exploitation!
Livelihood: to raise a family, people toil hard. They work daily and keep yearning for an off or holidays.
Crimes: if the livelihood cannot make ends meet, people resort to crimes. Relationship issues also arise and this too could be cause of crimes.
That is a what is in the lives of most people of the world and especially in Asia. And the funniest part is that at the end of this cycle, there is still no true happiness. On the surface, it looks like it is a happy family: father, mother, children, married children and now grandchildren. But scratch this family a bit and inside you will see many dark secrets and tears. On the surface, everything is silent and looks good....like a patch work on the surface. There is only some happiness that society says is happiness. It is superficial and not deep. But that is how, most people in India live and then die. A boring, monotonous life of responsibilities and duties but no true happiness!
