Alec Baldiwn, 62 defends wife Hilaria, 36 in the heritage controversy surrounding her!

 Hilaria Baldwin, the wife of 8 years of actor Alec Baldwin is in the midst of a heritage controversy. She has been accused of faking her Spanish descent. And now, Alec has come to the defence of his wife. He posted a long video on his Instagram and justified his wife and her heritage.

Hilaria, wife of Alec Baldwin was bombasted on social media for faking her Spanish heritage. In the midst of this, her husband has come to her defense. He posted a long video on his Instagram and titled it 'Consider the source'. Alec did not directly address or talk about the controversy. But he did hint at it. He asked people who are social media users to please confirm the source before reacting to it. He added that many times there is fake news on social media. He said that he and his family have been victims of such unsubstantiated rumors in the past.

Alec, 62 wrote: 

“We live in a world where we’re hidden behind the anonymity of social media, and people feel they can say anything. They want to spray it all over you and spit it all over you, their venom and their hate.”

“I would say the majority of what’s been said... is false,” 

“It’s so spectacularly false. And they’ve said it about people I love, false things."

Alec continued: 

“When you love somebody, you want to defend them,”

Thus Alec put his love for Hilaria at the forefront and stated that he has defended her due to his love for her. Hilaria, 36 and Alec, 62 have been married since 2012. Hilaria also put up an Instagram post to explain her side. She said: 

“I was born in Boston and grew up spending time with my family between Massachusetts and Spain. My parents and sibling live in Spain and I chose to live here, in the USA. We celebrate both cultures in our home — Alec and I are raising our children bilingual, just as I was raised.”

The heritage controversy

Hilaria also revealed the reason she changed her name from Hilary to Hilaria. Earlier, social media users have accused her of faking her Spanish descent. They had said that she is putting on a fake accent of Spanish and actually it is not natural.
