Coronavirus and world countries-zero, minimal cases and those who did good control and those who ill-managed!

 What started in Wuhan in China as a deadly viral infection in December 2019 spread rapidly to the world and now there have been more than 71 million cases worldwide reported. The worst affected have been the USA, India, Brazil, Italy, Spain, and France. But some countries did not report any case of coronavirus. The reason was that either they had and did not declare it or they had and did not test for it specifically or they really did not have it!

Whatever maybe the reason, but countries from where no or minimal cases of coronavirus were reported are:

NO CASES

Cook Islands, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, North Korea, Palau, Samoa, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. Also, Saint Helena, the Pitcairn Islands and Tokelau had zero cases.

GOOD AND FAST CONTROL

Countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Mauritius, Seychelles, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, South Korea, Macau managed to act fast and control the cases. China where the first case was reported also acted on a war footing and ended the pandemic there. Life has almost returned to normal in these places. The countries whose governments failed miserably to control the infection at the national level include India, the USA, Brazil, and Russia. But 150 countries of the world managed to keep their coronavirus count below 100k.

LAX ATTITUDE

During the pandemic, the Indian government was busy scheming and planning on things that could have waited. They were making plans to rebuild a new Parliament or inaugurate flyovers when several of their citizens were raging with the infection and dying! The USA government was busy trying to remain in power and crying foul the election results. But at least the governmental change has taken place in the USA to take care of the pandemic well now. In Brazil too, there is a dictatorial government with no medical know-how. Russia has Putin who does not value anyone except himself just like the previous three country leaders.
