The repeated but deliberately overlooked reasons behind female disrespect, rapes and murders of females in India!

 The latest news on disrespect of woman’s feelings and NO has come up from Uttarakhand, the so-called Devbhoomi (land of Gods!!!). A 19-year old female who worked as a receptionist at a resort in Laxman Jhula area of Rishikesh was thrown live into the barrage canal of Rishikesh. She drowned and died. And there were three culprits and one of them was the son of the politician cum member of the ruling BJP party of Uttarakhand and India. A matter of shame for everyone! 

The police was not quick in registering an FIR. The FIR was lodged only after 4 days. In these 4 days, the parents were moving from pillar to post to find their missing daughter. Ultimately, the police was forced to arrest the murderers. BJP was quick to sack the politician and distance itself from this matter. This quick and knee jerk action was only an attempt to pacify the protesters who were wild and fuming on learning about this incident. 

People will see only the obvious things in black and white. They will see that the son of a politician killed a teenager employee. The court would try them in a trial that may go on for ages!!! And the culprits might be behind bars for some time and released and welcomed with garlands. This was seen when the Gujarat BJP government released the gang rapists who had killed many people and gang raped a pregnant woman. Shame on the law and the government! 

The above obvious points in this murder and the arrest, trial, sentence and release of the murderers will in no way bring back the dead daughter of the weeping parents. Neither will it prevent such deaths and rapes in the future. The reason is that everyone is just doing some knee jerk actions with no sensitivity or consideration for the ‘female’ who suffers on that land.

Besides, the above obvious things, there are a number of other reasons that also led to this murder and maybe molestation. These are what I see and mind you, it needs no special specs but just a little heart to understand it. 

1. The parents of sons in India spoil their sons with money, pampering, power, and no restriction. Yes, the blame is also of the parents of the murderer man. Most parents of sons in India do no supervise what their sons are upto. The mothers further spoil them. The sons are made to feel that they are dominant and will take their legacy forward (by reproduction). Whether they do it by ruining their honor, the parents are not concerned about that. This wrong mindset has led to several cases of rapes and murders of women in India. The same happened in this case. Despite the culprits pleading guilty and all evidence against the culprits, the BJP party father had the shamelessness to tell the press that his son is very innocent! Such fathers should be hanged first followed by their sons. 

2. Most men in India have ingrained wrong ideas that they are indispensable and powerful and can get away with anything they do. Law will not be able to catch them and they can get away with either no or little punishment. 

3. Most men in India are immature and overemotional. They cannot take a NO of a female and might get physical with her if she refuses. This is mainly due to the wrong culture and thinking and also because of improper laws and their ineffective implementation. Boys in India are reared in that way and told to get hard with females. There is no training in sensitivity and family role for them. Neither teachers nor parents provide them with the much needed training in this aspect. The end result is rash men all over the place who believe it their right to do what they like with a female. The society and law has failed miserably in rectifying this wrong notions. In fact at many places law is either passive or creates situation for aggravation of the problem. For example, in India, marital rape is not considered as an offence. This is despite the fact that a significant number of females are facing the sexual violence every day in their life. 

4. Parents of daughters letting the teenager work at the resort without checking on the workplace or the background of the owner. 

5. Parents of daughters not teaching them self-defence or understanding of Indian men mentality. In fact, Indian girls are made to grow in a way that they remain submissive and dependent all their life. The girls are supposed to obey orders and not say anything. If they do say anything, it falls on deaf ears of parents, society or people around. The girls who are victims are made to feel that they are responsible for their own fate. The society in no way helps them. This is all awful but very true. 

Had the parents encouraged the daughter to be independent, fearless and allowed her to confide things in them, this incident could have been well-avoided. The murdered daughter might have told her parents of her trouble rather than informing a friend who might not have the right knowledge on what to do for it. At least the parents could have taken immediate steps to salvage and save the girl at night before her death from the clutches of the criminals. Had the parents taught the daughter some smartness in such circumstances, she would not have lost her life. They should make her a tigress who senses dangers and makes smart moves rather than making her a cow for sacrifice.

6. Wrong choice of governments and politicians. Everyone knows that BJP is a party of hooligans. Despite that, people bring them to power based on religion and not on the merit or work done. People deliberately ignore some vital things for the sake of religion. This will backfire with them and come out in these ways. A person who has not respected the females in his life cannot be suitable for a high post in the political circle! 

It is high time that the society wakes up to such heinous crimes and takes proper preventive and curative actions so that no daughter in the future suffers this dreadful fate. Indian law has to make strict laws for women and implement them effectively. Laws to book parents of erring sons should also be considered. Because the parents play a great role in spoiling their sons. 

The upbringing of children has to be same irrespective of their gender. Males should also learn cooking and do home-work and daughters and women should also be aware of the outside world and how to save themselves from the bad society.
