Possible reasons behind Modi growing a beard!

 Why is Modi growing a beard? This is the talk of the town after seeing his new look on internet and TV. His beard has grown steadily during the covid pandemic and people are wondering as to why he is not shaving it off like before. Some analysis here! 

Sagely look

Some people believe that Modi is growing a beard to give him a sage look. For him, looks and what other people think has always mattered. And beards are a sign of saintly look. Whether one is really wise or not is a different story altogether! Many feel that he is crafting his own persona to match those of the philosophical icons of this land. People have gone as far as to say that he loves dramatics (he did tell one journalist that he used to like the subject of dramatics in school).

Many people did grow beards during lockdown but as soon it was over, they rushed to the hair salons to have them shaved off. Some like George Clooney did it themselves at home. But not Modi, he continued to enjoy the growth even after lockdown was eased. So he wants the ascetic looks but not in behaviour. One can see that he is not at all sagelike when it comes to his clothes, sunglasses, cars, planes and even actions. 

Afraid of coronavirus from the barber

There are others who feel that Modi is afraid of coronavirus so much that he would not allow a barber to come near him during the current pandemic. But others beg to differ and observe that his beard and hair are well-kempt and the work of a barber and not him. So it is a deliberate attempt to grow the facial and scalp hair there. Some feel that he has taken a pledge to not trim his beard until the coronavirus pandemic is over. 

The religious ideology

By sporting a beard, Modi wants to show to the world that he is gradually the leader of Hindus and their religious head and will be leading the country towards something only he knows; but others cannot discern. He has already given them the site for Ram Mandir after demolition of Babri Masjid there. And there are more kittens in his beard, I mean bag to become their self-proclaimed head. His ultimate aim is to enter the history books and on currency notes even if it is by notorious means. But yes, beard and tresses might help him there majorly!
