Indian media TV and its deterioration over the last two decades!

Indian media TV has deteriorated over time. There is quantity but no quality. The quantity has more than tripled in the last two decades but the quality has considerably fallen. The coverage, duration, scope, and technicality has improved but the broadcasting methods has worsened. Integrity and ethics has gone down the drain. One can easily notice the vast difference between Indian channels and BBC. I would any day prefer BBC over the Indian channels even for news related to that subcontinent of Asia because I am ensured reliable and authentic news on BBC without yellow journalism element. Facts are presented in a humane manner and there is no shouting, yelling, and such uncivilized behavior on it.

Indian news channels and the deterioration

Despite innumerable Indian news channels, none of them are worth watching. Most of them have each news portrayed as Breaking News. This continues throughout the day and night. There is a lot of repetition. The channels are too noisy and many a times intolerable. One cannot make out who is speaking and what he or she is speaking or wants to say. Everyone seems to be talking at the same time.

Pani Puris on the go! Get to know here!

The screens are all crowded and one does not know what to read. At the same time, the news reporter will also be saying something. But that talk will not be synchronized with the written content that keeps running on the screens. There is utter confusion there and the viewer ends up with a headache sooner or later. Watching becomes boring after some time and a viewer tends to doze off with it.

Yellow journalism

The content is made sensational and the reporter keeps shouting. Fake reports often make it to the media TV and the analysis also suffers on many grounds.

Then there are ads that keep popping up in between. It appears as if we are watching an ad with a touch of news rather than the other way around.

The screens are so jumbled up and constantly changing. Only the host and the channel logo is fixed, rest everything is moving. But if we have a host like Arnab Goswami, even the host would be unstable. Quite an eyestrain. Unrelated data is also pushed onto the screens such as weather updates, stock market indices, cricket scores, and now even covid scores!!! The layout is totally ugly and unreadable. Color choices and graphics are also awful.

They all seem to have fallen into the TRP trap and the consumer continues to suffer! Help please!
